Stools - Difros

Stools - Difros

Two main styles of stools of ancient Greece have survived through reliefs.• The first type looks more like a small table. The typical stool consisted of a flat top and four straight legs. This stool was known as a Bathron.• There was no back support and the bottom was hard and uncompromising. Stools, footstools, pouffes and floor cushions add instant appeal to any room. Not just because they are practical items of furniture, but because they make a great focal point and can create a wonderful visual contrast to the overall decor. Consider a shiny black leather stool that doubles as a handy storage box, or an overstuffed footstool with newspaper print … each would work equally well but give a very different atmosphere to your living space. We also have boldly painted children’s stools/storage boxes and elegant and feminine printed stools to finish off a bedroom or dressing room.
